So, that’s it! We are now officially a no KYC exchange. True to his word last week, Digitex Futures has now removed all requirements to upload any identity documents when you buy from our Treasury. As Adam stated, we all have a right to privacy. Some people don’t even have government-issued IDs, and we don’t need to know the identities of everyone using our platform. So, we’ve removed the requirement. Here’s what changed.
U.S. IP Addresses Are Blocked
Therefore, anyone trying to access the Digitex Futures website from the United States will no longer be able to. They cannot buy DGTX from the Treasury and they will be met with a message that denies them access to the site. Therefore, no one in the United States can access our exchange.
Blocking U.S. IP addresses is one way that we can prevent U.S. citizens from using our exchange. However, it’s not 100% bullet-proof. Therefore, if someone does want to get around it, they can. However, they must take responsibility and sign a check-box that clearly stated that they are not a U.S. citizen. If they check this anyway, they may face some implications.
Send ETH and Convert to DGTX Seamlessly and Easily
Now for the good news. For the rest of you, it couldn’t be easier to buy DGTX from the Treasury now! It’s simple, easy, guarantees zero slippage and all at the same price as you find on CoinMarketCap. All you have to do is send ETH to the Digitex wallet and automatically receive DGTX in your wallet. It’s a fast, easy and trustless transaction - and you no longer have to go through any KYC, meaning your identity is no longer at risk of being stolen.
DGTX is available to buy ahead of the mainnet launch on April 27. It’s hugely undervalued. Take advantage of scooping up DGTX now ahead of the launch and before the price begins to soar.
This month is actually a very special time for the Digitex Treasury. It’s been active for one year already. When we first launched the Treasury, we weren’t really sure of the impact that it would have. But we’re pleased to say that it’s been hugely successful. We have funded our development for a whole year and will continue to fund our marketing and operations up to and way after the mainnet launch.
Update on the Data Breach
Finally, some of you have rightfully been inquiring about what we plan to do with the data collected from the breach and whether you can permanently delete your information. We would like to reassure you that we are extensively investigating this with Sum&Substance along with our legal team and we will update you as soon as possible with the best solution for everyone.
Many thanks for your patience and support, we can’t do it without you and we really do appreciate all your feedback.
